"Since my first one man show in Hong Kong at the age of eighteen in 1976, I have actively sought to find new ways of painting alongside the traditional methods I learned at school. Painting with paper towels was something I started doing over ten years ago and it’s a technique that I have now become internationally famous/infamous for. The hundreds of millions of social media views and fascinating comments attest to the intriguingly controversial nature of the method in the eyes of some. To me, however, it is just a beautiful and fluid way of expressing ideas and vision. I know from the reaction of my collectors that many of you feel the same way too." - Simon Bull
